A few weekends ago we celebrated our littlest man’s 2nd birthday. This day arrived much faster than it should have. I believe time flies by faster with second babies. He is growing up too quickly. Thankfully he is still my cuddle bug and loves for me to rock him to sleep at night. We had a very small party but I loved it, way less stressful.
Last month was the start of a blog circle project with six other amazing photographers. A day in the life. I was instantly hooked on the idea of posting a bit of my life, once a month, with these ladies. A way to document the beauty of the everyday as a mommy and be kept accountable to do so. It is so much more than that now, I’ve gained some of the best friendships! I’m so thankful to be a part of this.
I love early morning light. What I love even more is watching my babies play together in that light. At one point I looked up to find Oren sitting in the perfect spot of it while making yet another list for Christmas. He doesn’t just write down the things he wants, he draws an image to go along with it. He also made a list for Santa with ideas for his baby brother’s gift since Ephram cannot write one. That boy can be really sweet.
It was peaceful, and quiet, and beautiful. For the most part.
They really do play well together, but there are certainly those moments when one just cannot help himself and needs to destroy what the other is working on. Usually Ephram, being a typical toddler, is ransacking anything Oren tries to build. Today, as you will see, it was Oren. Ephram pouted for a little bit after and then marched on with his task.
When you’ve made it through my morning in photos be sure to follow the blog circle around by clicking the link at the bottom to check out what a day in the life looks like for the amazingly talented Bjorna.
This is Anabelle. Our dog’s mommy! We have been pet sitting for the week and she LOVES to bask in the light from this window.

She is a lifestyle photographer with such beautiful work, be sure to check out her facebook page here as well!
About a month ago I was asked to join a group of 5 inspiring lifestyle photographers for a project, to blog once a month about a day in our lives. I instantly wanted to be a part of it, pushing me to take the time to document my growing little ones daily lives. I get so busy with everything else that it takes a backseat. Always taking the photos but never doing anything with them. I am happy to end that cycle today with the start of our “a day in the life” blog circle.
This month I documented just a few moments in a typical weekday for us. Cartoons before school. A quick trip to target for a few necessities. Brothers wrestling – Ephram misses Oren when he’s at school. Playing outside while waiting for daddy to make it home. Bath time.
I’m looking forward to what’s to come from this.
Be sure to follow the circle around to the other blogs, starting with the lovely Jeanna by clicking HERE.
I know you will enjoy seeing the gorgeous photography and getting a glimpse into their day as much as I will!
Also, be sure to give her some love on her facebook page HERE.
I can recall Lori and Bobby’s wedding like it was yesterday. I was a second shooter for my cousin Mindy, who is a Houston wedding photographer with Ree Photography. Their wedding day was beautiful and filled with love. I’ve been documenting the big and little moments in their lives for as long as I can remember. When Lori contacted me very early in her pregnancy to let me know it was time to book all kinds of exciting sessions I was over the moon for them. I’m pretty sure I squealed and ran to tell my husband!
We first planned out a fun and detailed gender reveal session that you can see by clicking here. Then came the time to show off her completely adorable baby bump! There are many pretty spots at Mercer Gardens in Humble for maternity photos or really any session. It is typically very busy, with lots of guests and a great many photographers bustling about, but with some planning it can feel very intimate and I think we did a great job of making that happen for their session.
Huck and Scout are very much a part of this family and it is always fun to include them in the Walsh family portraits. They are going to be such sweet brothers for miss Caroline to have! I mean look at those adorable faces.
I just love that I am so often one of the first to know about a pregnancy before it is ever announced publicly. Such an exciting secret to keep! Do you have a secret to tell me? 😉 Click here to send me an e-mail all about it. It is never too early to start planning your photo sessions.
This post has been such a long time coming, as are a few others. I have some old sessions that really deserve a place on this blog. So here and there, in between current sessions, I am going to blog an older one. Play a bit of catch up.
